THE CHALLENGE: Retrieve a subsea BOP stack from deep water when it is laying on its side or disabled for any reason.

THE SOLUTION: FASTORQ designed and manufactured AutoZip robotic crane grapples to enable a ROV to fly a lifting line to the BOP and connect the line to one of four shackles mounted on the BOP stack without opening and closing the shackle.

INSTALLATION: The AutoZip crane grapple incorporates a female Double Zip latching mechanism which is pushed on to a male threaded lifting shackle mounted on the BOP stack. No pins to be inserted and no rotation required. Each AutoZip crane grapple has a capacity of 110 tons.
